I’m in LA LA LOVE with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling and wish they were an IRL couple so they get my vote for BEST DRESSED on the red carpet from this year’s Oscars…
I get super excited when award season comes up because to me that means all of my favorite celebs in one place, looking HOT HOT HOT on a red carpet and I get to be a part of that for an hour before the boring part, …ahem I mean before the awards themselves! And the Golden Globes never disappoint since its the first one of the new year. Here’s what stood out…
Plunging Necklines
Showing a Little Cold Shoulder
They Call it Mellow Yellow
All Choked Up
Parade of Pink
Suit of Armor
The comedy opens up today and is already breaking records, but not at the box office… Last Saturday Paul Blart (Kevin James) and his mall security guards set a Guinness Book World Record for performing the most 360s on segways at the NYC world premiere.
I love publicity like this but if that stunt still isn’t enough to get you to go see the movie then the cast might…
Whether it was sultry and smokey or glitzy and glimmering, we coudn’t stop starring at these ladies’ lids on the Golden Globes’ red carpet.
Color shadow was huge! Reppin’ the rainbow was a pregnant Olivia Wilde glowing in purple, Amy Adams’ golden look channeled Mr. Globes himself and green was the new black for Taylor Schilling, who matched her eye shimmer to her grassy toned gown.
It was a sexy stare down for these starlets whose lids donned 50 shades of grey. Girls’ Allison Williams added a touch of sparkle to her version of the smoky eye, Mila Kunis smoldered in metallic hues and Emma Roberts rocked a softer silver.
That is the question Heineken asked unsuspecting karaoke singers when their intimate sing sesh was abruptly stopped and they were asked if they wanted to continue singing to an audience of thousands. The audience for these ambushed amateurs? Pedestrians watching Times Square billboards, NYC taxis riders, and fans viewing a giant NBA jumbotron.
We can’t say we accept the challenge but these people did and their reactions are hilarious! Check them out at YouTube.com/ChristmasKaraoke.
Who says prison orange doesn’t go with red carpet? Cast members of the Netflix original series Orange is The New Black showed up at The Botanical Garden in NYC for the premiere recently, and we’ve decided it’d be criminal to miss this show! Reasons to watch? Check it:
Even though series stars Taylor Schilling and Jason Biggs sizzled in classic black and white ensembles at the event, we can’t wait to see them on the small screen, even if Taylor WILL be in the notorious bad girl (CAUGHT girl) hue!
The female-strong cast features some heavy talent and all-around gorgeousness — Laura Prepon, Samira Wiley and Natasha Lyonne… That’s some serious lady points!
The Based-On-A-True-Story dramedy was inspired by Piper Kerman‘s autobiographical account of a 15 month federal prison stay, and if anyone can make that hilarious, it’s genius Weeds creator Jenji Kohan. In other words, if dark humor is your thing, you’re going to laugh.
And with fans like Ricky Gervais, Deborah Cox and Jay Manuel showing up at the premiere, you already know it’s going to be the talk of the town! You know what to do, friends — add it to your queue!
No, the above title is not a joke, nor a rhetorical question–the seemingly unrelated person, place and thing actually all come together in DreamWorks latest animated film, “Turbo“.
Last night the new 3D flick that tells the delightful tale of a snail named Turbo (voice by Ryan Reynolds) gifted with super-speed and dreams of winning the Indy 500, premiered at the Lincoln Square Loews.
So who came out to cheer on Turbo at his big New York City debut? Naturally, the whole star-studded cast which besides Blake Lively’s better half, includes Paul Giamatti, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez and more!
Oh also some of Nascar’s best racers just happened to come out too… and it turns out the pros were just as impressed by the story of the little snail who could as we are.
Indy 500 winner himself, Tony Kanaan called the big screen portrayal of racing life the “real thing”. If the animated adaption is realistic enough for the guy who lived it, then it looks like DreamWorks created another cinematic masterpiece! We can’t wait to experience Turbo when it hits theaters July 17th!
We were so down with one of our favorite NYC gals, Cyndi Lauper, taking the Best Original Score for Kinky Boots at the 67th annual Tony Awards that we almost forgot to check out what anyone was wearing! And really, who could when it seemed like the star of the night was an accessory — the statement earring.
Big, bold and intricate designs seemed the lady’s choice at the Neil Patrick Harris hosted event, starting with Cyndi herself (just look at those artful contraptions!)
From Bernadette Peters and her on-trend emeralds to Sigourney Weaver’s equally hip gold geometrics, all lobes seemed in the know on the carpet. Nominee Carrie Coon (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) rocked a super elegant gold and crystal pair that made us start to think… Who’s afraid of the drop earring? We might not be after watching these lovelies show us how it’s done!
When was the last time you made it through a meal without checking your cell phone? How about the last time you went a day without “friending” or tweeting or even sending an e-mail? As the line between our online and offline lives becomes blurrier, and everyone from politicians to celebs is falling prey to cyber stalkers, what happens when your typical suburban family gets caught up in a worldwide web of suspense and treachery, set in the murky terrain of cyber terrorism?
That’s the question asked by father-and-daughter first-time authors John and Caitlin Stuart in their new novel Hiding in Sunshine, a thrilling story that follows the Brinkley family through years of stolen moments and stolen identities, complicated relationships and imminent danger, as they strive to survive while protecting each other and their country.
Available in hardcover and paperback on www.hidinginsunshine.com, www.amazon.com and www.bn.com – or as an e-book if you can’t bear to log off long enough to flip pages the old-fashioned way, Hiding in Sunshine is terrific, terrifying and topical – and enough to make even the most cyber-savvy among us think before we tweet.
Any regular gal would give their left leg (or right) to have the body of a Victoria’s Secret model. Well on Wednesday we were reminded again as each busting beauty made their way down the catwalk for this years fashion show. Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars performed during the show. Here are some of our faves of the night.
