It always seems to creep up on me, NY Fashion Week! And pops up quicker than the last season which was only 5 months ago. A week of high fashion and daring beauty, papparazzi pits and crowds surrounding celebs and for me, over 20 runway shows that I get to enjoy and appreciate! So much hard work goes into those 15-30 looks that the models are strutting down the runway and not JUST from the designers. Think of the music, the lights, the dressers in the back along with hair stylists and makeup artists, all making sure their part is up to par so the show goes off without a hitch. Take a look…

The comedy opens up today and is already breaking records, but not at the box office… Last Saturday Paul Blart (Kevin James) and his mall security guards set a Guinness Book World Record for performing the most 360s on segways at the NYC world premiere.

I love publicity like this but if that stunt still isn’t enough to get you to go see the movie then the cast might…

It’s Friday, which means i’m in full weekend warrior mode. I love spending my summer weekends hiking, biking or doing any “outdoorsy” activity and  am always on the hunt for the best snacks to pack. It’s Christmas crunch time people. This year I’ll be the host so the pressure is on! On the menu: lots of apps, turkey and ham as the main dish, and still searching for some great dessert recipes.  I went to Whole Foods recently for some inspiration and found this cheese called Champagne Cheddar that I’m going to use as one of the apps.

It’s a cheese that is actually infused with champagne.  I’ve never seen this before but I had a sample and it tastes great and I know my guest will love it! I might even be ambitious and try this recipe for Champagne Cheddar Cheese Straws! Keep you posted on that one.

In my spare time (oh wait who has spare time) I have been all over the place searching for those perfect gifts for my kids,  hubby,  mother, sister, nephews… ahhh!!!!!  They are all so different in age in size in interest but I want to be the one to get them all a gift they could use.

December is a crazy month! While in the mist of endless shopping, holiday parties, and dressing up as Santa for the kids (yes that happened…), I all the sudden envisioned myself soaking up some rays on a tropical island with a margarita in hand. I wondered to myself HOW do I make it reality?! With a little surfing of the net I figured out my dreams of actually surfing were not only affordable but only a few clicks away.

Gwen Stefani and Heidi Klum have both been caught wearing the perfect fall accessory…the black multi abstract leopard scarf from Theodora & Callum. Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza met back in 2008 when they were both working on the Broadway musical, “A Chorus Line” in NYC. Now they’re engaged, have a beautiful baby girl named Gia and are preparing for their wedding on December 1st.

And if that wasn’t enough, Mario just announced he will be the new co-host of the X-Factor along with Khloe Kardashian. Mario says “he’s a big fan of the show” and that he and Khloe get along great and he’s a big fan of the Kardashian family.

So what’s next for this power couple? After they say “I do” they plan to ring in the New Year in the heart of Times Square.
