• 2012 Teen Choice Awards

Last night the stars came out for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the carpet. Um, and can we discuss the fact that No Doubt is releasing their new album in September? Ya, pretty psyched about that.

  • Giuliana & Bill Rancic Talk Love & PDA

Can’t get enough of these two, the E! star and her hubby BIll sat down to chat about National PDA Day. They were very candid and told me, they love to take walks together 3 nights a week to reconnect, (so adorable).

They power couple also gave me the scoop on their baby boy and said they plan to raise him in a very loving, affectionate environment. Sounds good to me!

  • 2012 Billboard Music Award

Absolutely loved the BBMA’s this year…hosted by two of my favorites from ‘Modern Family’ – this year’s show was much more entertaining than in the past. All the hottest musicians were there at the MGM Grand, Adele was a no show… but of course, still swept the awards. The tribute to Whitney Houston was pretty unbelievable, I may have shed a tear or two, don’t judge :).

The “Biebs” snagged the “Top Social Artist” award and opted for a laid back look on the carpet…he brought one of his biggest fans as his date (not pictured)… thought that was pretty adorable.

Robin Thicke looked SERIOUSLY handsome on the carpet and inside he introduced Kelly Clarkson-who showed a darker side when she performed her new single on stage.

Now… Miss Cyrus, what can I say? There was a ton of buzz about Miley’s outfit…a neck plunging, white, Jean Paul Gaultier blazer, sans pants. I don’t HATE it but I think pants would have been a tad more appropriate.

  • Museum Glam: 2012 Met Gala

The Costume Institute Gala, held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum is commonly referred to as the “fashion Oscars” and the stars did not disappoint this year. It was hollywood glamour all the way.

This is by far one of fashion’s biggest nights…celebs from the music, film, art and of course, fashion industry were out in full force. All flaunting their designer garb, swoon.

Marc Jacobs is everything, but when he showed up in this number, he took risk taker, fashion icon and all around fabulous, to a whole new level. Of course SJP rocked it as usual in a more demure look…and Kirsten Dunst opted for a ’40’s inspired sheath.

  • Stars Stylin’ at Coachella

Coachella is obviously about the music but fashion is a MAJOR part of the event. Tons of celebs strut their stuff while jamming out, and Camilla Belle is no exception… she looked stunning in white at the Neon Carnival, which took place during the highly anticipated festival. The actress made a classic ensemble come to life, by pairing it with some fabulous accessories from lia sophia. The “Gloss ring” in white, and the “Technicolor Stretch Bracelet” in white (both under $100!)

  • KISS and Mötley Crüe: THE TOUR

If you’re a rocker-fan like me then seeing KISS and Mötley Crüe together in the same sentence gets your blood pumping! Well what you’re seeing is true….the 2 iconic rock bands are uniting for a 40-date Summer 2012 tour.

The tour kicks off July 20th and runs through September 23rd.

Paul Stanley describes it best, “If you want to see more bombs and artillery, you’ll have to check out the military.”

“The Tour” will be 90 minutes from each band and every night KISS will close out the show.

“Expect the unexpected as usual,” says Tommy Lee.

What can be expected…face paint, outrageous costumes, ear shattering heavy metal, mind blowing pyrotechnics and a show not to miss.

  • Fashion Forward at the Golden Globes

Award season kicked off last night in Hollywood. Inside it’s all about the award, but on the carpet, it’s all about the couture. Some of the most glamorous women in the biz, rocking  the hottest trends… Yes! It was pretty impossible to choose just ONE best-dressed diva, so here are a few favorites.

Rooney Mara donned a dramatic Nina Ricci black cut-out gown, a signature for the new star. Simple glam goes a long way, people! She totally worked it.

Sophia Vergara, (p.s. not normal to be THAT gorgeous!) wore a strapless, blue, Vera Wang with a mermaid bottom.

And ‘Young Adult’ star, Charlize Theron, chose a whimsical Dior Couture gown, in nude.

There were certainly some fashion fails but lets focus on the winners…

  • Stars Rock Out for Z100’s Jingle Ball

The annual holiday jam session was held at Madison Square Garden, here in NYC. Tons of musicians came out to play, including the one and only, fashion icon and pop superstar, GAGA! She was slightly naughty during one of her performances… but without shock value, who is Lady Gaga, anyway? Gym Class Heros, LMFAO and Kelly Clarkson also hit the stage.

And what kind of party would it be without at least ONE Kardashian? Khloe Kardash made an appearance..phew.

Show airs on FUSE TV Sunday, December 18th at 7:00Pm…tune in people.

  • Artist to Watch: Lissie

Came across Lissie’s videos a few weeks ago and wanted to share. Kind of obsessing over her at the moment… after hearing her cover of Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” then Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,”  and her original stuff is pretty awesome as well. This chick has something special, just saying… check her out

  • Book Review: Good Graces by Lesley Kagan

    Review By: Cindy of HelloDollface.com

    Good Graces by Lesley Kagan

Last year I read- and enjoyed- Whistling in the Dark, the story of two girls growing up in 1959 and facing among other things, a child molester, murderer and the death of their father.

I was very eager to get my hands on Good Graces, the sequel to Whistling in the Dark.

Author Lesley Kagen gives a strong voice to young Sally the narrator of the story, as she tries to make good on a promise she made to her father before he died. She must take care of her little sister, Troo, a troublemaker with a sassy mouth.

Sally tries to keep Troo safe as danger swirls around them during the summer of 1960, a year after Whistling in the Dark. Sally worries Troo might be involved in something serious like the series of neighborhood break-ins, a missing orphan and the escape from reform school by a school yard adversary who has reason to hate Troo. Keep in mind Sally is only eleven years old.

The story completely drew me in and I couldn’t turn pages fast enough to find out who was behind the crimes committed. Was Troo involved, did she know something? And how did Sally manage to keep her sister safe- or did she?

If Lesley Kagen writes a sequel to this sequel, I will be first in line for it!
