• Museum Glam: 2012 Met Gala

The Costume Institute Gala, held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum is commonly referred to as the “fashion Oscars” and the stars did not disappoint this year. It was hollywood glamour all the way.

This is by far one of fashion’s biggest nights…celebs from the music, film, art and of course, fashion industry were out in full force. All flaunting their designer garb, swoon.

Marc Jacobs is everything, but when he showed up in this number, he took risk taker, fashion icon and all around fabulous, to a whole new level. Of course SJP rocked it as usual in a more demure look…and Kirsten Dunst opted for a ’40’s inspired sheath.

  • Stars Stylin’ at Coachella

Coachella is obviously about the music but fashion is a MAJOR part of the event. Tons of celebs strut their stuff while jamming out, and Camilla Belle is no exception… she looked stunning in white at the Neon Carnival, which took place during the highly anticipated festival. The actress made a classic ensemble come to life, by pairing it with some fabulous accessories from lia sophia. The “Gloss ring” in white, and the “Technicolor Stretch Bracelet” in white (both under $100!)

  • The 4-piece Bikini!!

When you think bikini, you think traditional 2 pieces right? But a 4-piece bikini??!!

It’s the latest trend in swimwear right now. The concept starts with a two-piece bikini foundation and then you layer swim pieces like a cami, swim shorts or a swim skirt. Lands’ End is all over it with their new “SwimMates” collection. Check it out!

  • Rachel Zoe…Chicest Mother on the Planet!

We were thrilled to catch up with new momma, Rachel Zoe…the uber stylist-turned-designer, has made her mark on the fashion industry and we had to know all her secrets, how does she do it all and look fabulous at the same time?! So…we asked!

“It’s a balance…at the end of the day, being a mom is first and foremost,” she says.

And what is Rachel’s MUST-HAVE for the fashionista on the go …“grab a great coat,” says Zoe.

  • Fashionista, Olivia Palermo Talks Spring Trends

Say what you will… this girl knows fashion, period.

Guest Editor for Piperlime, Olivia Palermo, who is always front and center at Fashion Week around the globe, fills us in on some of the season’s hottest trends

Spring is ALL about color, from blinding neons, to bold hues, like cobalt blue. Color blocking is huge as well and less… “look at me!!”

A chunky heel is a MUST, printed denim is everywhere and what a fab take on an American classic… pair them with a neutral top to balance out the look.

And for Spring/Summer, every girl needs to have a fantastic maxi dress, you can add some funky accessories or a great jacket for instant glam. Happy Spring!

  • Fashion Forward at the Golden Globes

Award season kicked off last night in Hollywood. Inside it’s all about the award, but on the carpet, it’s all about the couture. Some of the most glamorous women in the biz, rocking  the hottest trends… Yes! It was pretty impossible to choose just ONE best-dressed diva, so here are a few favorites.

Rooney Mara donned a dramatic Nina Ricci black cut-out gown, a signature for the new star. Simple glam goes a long way, people! She totally worked it.

Sophia Vergara, (p.s. not normal to be THAT gorgeous!) wore a strapless, blue, Vera Wang with a mermaid bottom.

And ‘Young Adult’ star, Charlize Theron, chose a whimsical Dior Couture gown, in nude.

There were certainly some fashion fails but lets focus on the winners…

  • Fashion Forward Healing

OK, so lets be honest…no self-respecting fashionista wants to rock a flesh colored Band-Aid. Of course, things do happen… thankfully, one of the hottest designers out there has come to the rescue. Band-Aid® has come out with a bandage designed by Cynthia Rowley! A glam way to cover up the wound and they come in 7 different designs! AMAZE!
